OVERVIEW This was a daily illustration challenge. I focused on dogs, and then eventually just my dog Rita, so that I could measure my improvement. I went on to make greeting cards out of my favorite ones.

I've always loved to draw, but I wanted to establish an illustrative style.
This was one of my first drawings. It took me a few days to break out of the style that I've always used, but eventually I began reverse-engineering the work of illustrators I admired and trying to implement elements of their style.
